Basic Requirements
Although Germany offers a wide variety of ways to enter the job market, you still need a few essential basics to work and build a future here. These ensure that you meet formal criteria and can successfully integrate into the workplace.
School education and language skills
You should have completed a school education that qualifies you for vocational training or a professional job – ideally equivalent to a secondary school diploma or higher (e.g. high school or A-levels). In addition, at least intermediate German skills (B1 level) are required to work and communicate effectively.
Proper qualifications for advanced positions
If you hold a university degree, you have excellent chances of entering the German job market – especially in fields like engineering, IT, or healthcare. Academic qualifications open the door to long-term career opportunities.

Even after a successful placement, there are a few things we expect from you – nothing to worry about! These expectations will actually make your start in Germany smoother, help you settle in faster, and boost your long-term success.
